Founder & Managing Director
With over 19 years of experience in hospitality and catering, Maz Islam is the founder of Catering District Pty Ltd. His professional background includes commercial kitchen management, hospitality operations, event coordination and large-scale catering. Through Industry Placement Solutions he has supported 1,500+ students and 700+ placements across a network of 300+ industry venues.
Chef Maz has successfully managed kitchens, led event coordination teams, and delivered large-scale catering services at renowned venues, including Moorebank Sports Club in collaboration with On Point Catering Solutions, Crossroads Hotel and EBP RSL. His extensive experience has equipped him with strong operational leadership, food service management and hospitality expertise.

Kimberly May Abing
Operations, Administration & Front of House Manager
Kimberly oversees HR administration, recruitment, rostering, procurement, inventory and operational coordination. She works closely with the Head Chef, kitchen team, club management and beverage operations to ensure smooth daily service, function coordination and efficient use of resources.
She also supports front of house operations, staff training, customer service, facilities coordination and relief management as required, with over 10 years of experience in operations and human resources behind her.

Mitch Walton
Hospitality Operations Consultant
As an external consultant, Mitch provides strategic and operational guidance to Catering District, working closely with clients, staff and stakeholders to support consistently high-quality catering. His practical knowledge, culinary expertise and leadership experience strengthen our ability to deliver efficient, reliable and customer-focused hospitality.
Mitch is the Managing Director of On Point Catering Solutions Pty Ltd, with over 20 years' experience as a chef, including more than 15 years as an Executive Chef and contract caterer.
Back of House Team
Chefs & Kitchen Team
Our Back of House team brings experience across bistro dining, catering, events and high-volume hospitality, committed to quality, consistency and excellent presentation.
Supported by strong kitchen leadership, the team follows HACCP, food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements, with clear systems for food preparation, stock control, portioning, cost management and waste reduction.
